WE MAKE BLACK HISTORY EVERYDAY

_________________________________________________________________________________

Every day is black history month just because February has ended that does not mean we should stop celebrating all of the achievements, struggles, movements, voices of the people who got us to were we are today. We should never forget where we come from, we should take our customs and beliefs where ever we go as long as they affect the future and generations in a positive way. I know so many individuals today who have made history wherever they went and encourage that for others. I learn so much from them because i know where all of that comes back to. I can retrospect many moments in my life when people have tried to put this negative image in my head that the color of my skin judges who i am as an individual, It does not matter were you come from or what color you are you can make it anywhere as long as you put your mind to it. But i know there are so many people who have been pushed back and that happens to many of us today, who look in the mirror every day hating themselves because of some other ignorant persons comment that has imprinted the mind of a black individual. I do know one thing the scariest thing in white america is a successful black woman and man, Because now that they know what we are a capable of, we proved our point. And that is: you brought us here, we were put down belittled but we rise up and make the best of everything.  That is why you have to love your self completely, skin in all and never forget who have paved the way.  I want to thank Dr. king for never giving up that dream, that is made a reality today. I want to thank Rosa for sitting down and wanting to be treated as a human being, Thank you Angela Davis for wanting social justice, Malcolm X for not only wanting rights but showing the world that being black and loving it was the thing to be. Harriet Tubman for leading the way to the promised land. Cassius Clay (Muhammad Ali), Macon B.Allen for being the first black lawyer, admitted to the bar. Robert T. Freeman first black person to graduate from Harvard Dental school, RUN DMC, Jesse Jackson, and so many more. Be black and proud, never forget to make history when ever and wherever, also to always celebrate you.

I want to give a special thanks to the models who participated on this segment for this Black history month segment: Nunaa Locc, Markeys Calloway, and, Teniqua Pettway.
